With its chubby body, gentle gaze and short, reddish-brown fur, the capybara looks too cute. It is also known as the capybara because it likes to live near lakes and rivers in South America. There, it nibbles on water plants with relish – and if it gets too warm, it simply goes for a swim. Marvellous! The cute capybara looks a bit like an extra-large guinea pig. With its round body, it can move skilfully. The rodent is always on the lookout for aquatic plants because it loves to eat them. It has spotted a few treats on the shore – let's go!
